Tidal Observation

  • With a tide gage, we record the continuous tidal waves of sea levels and identify the characteristics of tidal movements through the harmonic analysis of tides.
  • It is used to determine the basic sea levels and for adjustment of tidal waves for water depth measurement.

Tidal Current Observation

  • The tidal currents consist of water currents generated by tidal movements. We identify the characteristics of tidal currents including intensity and direction by using a hydrometer.

Wave Observation

  • We measure the change in the concentration of suspended sediments by checking seawater samples or a turbidity meter installed underwater.
